Job Description & Requirements
We are looking for someone with kitchen experience to join our team, working c. 20-25 hours per week. There is also the potential opportunity to advance to a Chef role in the future, with extended hours (if desired).
Requirements

Available to work Mondays to Fridays (starting 4:45am, 4-5 hour shifts)

Have 1.5 yrs’ experience in a fast-paced commercial kitchen, with experience in most areas outlined below

Co-operative team player - keeping calm under pressure, and getting along with different personalities

Excellent work ethic - able to act quickly and independently, with a good sense of what needs to be done and when

Professional attitude - confidence to own the results, yet humility to take on feedback

Fluent in English and have Australian work rights

Have driver's license
Main Duties & Responsibilities

Morning Set-Up - turn on equipment, fill up cooking stations
-
Food Preparation - cutting vegetables, cooking and boiling eggs, prepping schnitzels and meat patties

Grill Cooking - cook simple breakfasts before main cook arrives at 6:15am (e.g. bacon and egg rolls)

Deep Fryer Cooking - assist when required (chips, battered snacks, calamari, chicken kebabs, etc.)

Cleaning & Hygiene - keep food preparation areas, and kitchen equipment clean, wash dishes, keep toilets clean

Assist Chef - retrieve items for chef

Assist with Stock Management - assist with ordering, receiving, and storage of items on first-in-first out basis
